About the MIS race camps
We will ski loads of miles in this action-packed camp in the beautiful mountains of Tirol. The uplift in Hintertux is modern and fast. During the day the expansive lodge at the top is our base. We have a ski storage room and a private lunch room to avoid the crowds. We can often be found doing real-time video analysis in the lunch break. Off the hill the valley is full of adventure with dozens of race teams running in the forests or training in the car parks and tennis courts. It’s a fantastic atmosphere.
Accommodation and Food
We are staying at the Hotel Jakober in Vorderlanersbach. It is right at the start of the bus line to the Hintertux gondola, so is perfect for getting up the hill in the mornings. The hotel has space for team meetings, fitness indoors and outdoors and ski tuning. Breakfast and Dinner are included in the camp.
Coaching
team are all internationally qualified coaches and have coaching experience at race clubs and national ski teams and were all ski racers themselves (including two Olympians). They have all grown up as athletes within the ATC ski racing community. This means they are caring, fun loving skiers who instil in their trainees, important values like being a good teammate, being kind to others and working hard at their sport.

Training Objectives
One of the main objectives on the October camp is to increase speed. The huge pistes allow us to work on areas of technique that can’t be developed through the summer months. Hintertux is one of the largest glacier venues in the world and it offers winter snow conditions all year. Afternoons are packed full of fitness, stretching and tuning skis, as well as a little rest and recovery. It is a full schedule and athletes need to be focussed, healthy and motivated to get the most out of this camp.
